1) Review vocabulary words Manter Hall Lesson XX (20). Quiz, Monday, 3/19

2) Read I Had Seen Castles to pg. 24 silently...then read out loud to page: 26. Discuss CASTLE as a symbol of the narrator's childhood.

3) Passed out WWII novel project:

a. Create a nice coversheet. Include the title, author, your name, date, period. Decorating this cover sheet is optional and will count up to five extra points.
b. Complete items 1, 11, 14, 15, and 18. Type all work.
c. Staple project sheet as your last sheet. Do not place project in folder, plastic holder, etc. Just staple neatly in booklet-type style.

Remember to "explode the moment" of crisis.

Review "Explode a Moment." Read different examples of writing in which one moment in one's life can be "exploded" into a complete essay by zooming into the minute details in slow motion.

Review Leads (how to open your composition/essay) to engage your reader.

Write about a time/day when nothing went right. One sheet of paper, front AND back. (This is a grade).
