Poetry Analysis

Students will work with partners to read poems out loud identifying the following  poetic devices for each poem:

1) Form
2) Metrical poetry or free verse
3) Alliteration
4) Assonance
5) Repetition
6) Onomatopoeia
7) Anaphora
8) Hyperbole

They will also respond to specific questions for each poem and earn ten points for the satisfactory completion of both prosody and analysis of each poem.
