1.  Wrap up the connotation-denotation-synonyms-antonyms activity "In a Station of the Metro" by Ezra Pound.  Share poems.

2.  Warm up with metaphors from Lil Wayne songs.

3.  Poem "Love Double-Wide (Your Love is Like a Bad Tatoo).
Review TONE, metaphor, concrete and abstract.  Discuss poem.  Write own poem using a metaphor containing first an abstract word and then a concrete word modeling Bell's poem.

Period 5-6
