1.  Explanation of short essay at the end of the survey.

2.  Time to work on survey and essay.

3.  Explanation of independent clauses and gerunds.

4.  Rough draft of Bio-Poem. Bring tomorrow.

Periods 5-6

1.  Check homework.

2.  Review of present participial phrases with overhead and examples from class.

3.  Introduction of next six words and sentences that begin with a series of present participial phrases followed by a comma (Due tomorrow).
