1. Students drew and labeled a plot diagram for "The Quiet Man": 10 minutes.

2. Read "The Quiet Man," checking for comprehension, reviewing plot elements, and clarifying characterization and character motives. Read to page 8 top text to "All that suited Big Liam splendidly, and se remained single--a wasted woman."
