1. Complete quiz on "The Pedestrian." Ask for quiz when you return if you were absent.

2. Explained song project assignment:

Write a song that summarizes how Mr. Mead feels about the world in which he lives. Use some phrases or words from the text to help you encompass his whole experience. Use sensory details and dialogue. Make sure you have a refrain (chorus).
Example: Minimum three stanzas of four or five lines each stanza and a refrain (chorus). Performance will earn you extra credit. DUE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6.

3. Read "There Will Come Soft Rains" p. 324 in your new Holt McDougal Literature text book.

HOMEWORK: Read "Inside the Home of the Future" by Kelly Greene pp. 337-338 in Literature textbook.
