Periods 1 - 3

1.  Work on DLA Revising and Editing.  Some students worked on their rough drafts.


Periods 5 - 7

1.  Of Mice and Men:  Checked and discussed Chapters 5 and 6 questions completed on Friday.

2.  Passed out Of Mice and Men Author study questions.

3.  Distributed Of Mice and Men film focus questions.

4.  Began watching 1992 color film version of Of Mice and Men with Gary Sinise and John Malkovich.

Focus:  How does film version of Of Mice and Men contrast with the novel in portraying themes studied (Loneliness and isolation, pursuit of the American Dream, family and friendship)?

HOMEWORK:  Bring Vocabulary Lesson XIII to grade tomorrow.
