Periods 1 - 3

Period 1:  Completed The Tragedy of Othello ACT I;  Period 2 did not read today, for readers were absent. Period 3 completed ACT I yesterday, 3/19.  Period 1 needs grade for interactive work.

1. Warm-Up:  Poetry Terms for STAAR: Used Glossary to define terms.

2. Lesson 1 Sentence Structure - What is a Clause? 
Lesson was completed with students actively participating in the identification of subjects, predicates (What is the verb? Then ask who or what performs the action or state of being, then bracket all clauses, and finally identify the clause)  dependent, and independent clauses: ICDC no comma; DC, IC.  Students received a daily grade for participation and on-task behavior.
